3/10/2016 0 Comments A happy endingAfter more than a week of running round our beautiful valley, I can say that I sure did enjoy meeting everyone, especially the children up in Knowlesville and that nice gallery show opening in Florenceville not to mention the monster bike at Craig's! I'll post some more pix once they come back from processing...
I finally made my way back to one of my foster homes. While I was visiting, Eileen came over and introduced herself. She recognized me as the mascot for the Tour. It was instant enchantment -- and now I have a wonderful new forever home. At last!

I’m called Piggie. Piggie Newton-Beauregard. I was born in Drummond NB. I’ve lived in two foster homes, one in Woodstock, the other in Grand Falls. They were big places with a lot of art on the walls and people were very nice to me. But I just couldn’t convince anyone to adopt me. No matter how hard I smiled at them as they passed by.
Then one day I was asked to model for an ad campaign to promote a studio tour and gallery hop. Still not sure exactly what that is but it sounds like fun. Suddenly my face is on posters, in ads, on the internet, all over. Not bad for a 12-inch small-fry like me. Denise, my protector, says she has another gig lined up at the end of the month. Personal appearances. Photo-ops on the tour. That sort of thing. I'll try to make it. Visitors to where I was living started to recognize me. Still no takers though. So I decided to run away. Maybe that will get me so more attention. And I have a smart phone with me so I can keep in touch. And I started posting on Instagram. So did Denise. She started using #findPiggieNB. Now the tour promoters are even posting on Twitter @tweet4fun2win. I hope that will get me likes. Lots of likes and maybe a new, permanent home. A heated swimming pool would be nice too. I promise to write more now that I’m on the road, looking for adventure. À bientôt mes amis! |
